I bought this after realizing the very expensive ($300-$800) drywall vacuums use the same dust collection principle and have similar power (based on amp draw). I added a HEPA filter, drywall dust collection bag, and used inexpensive Hyde screen sanders and the job was dust free. After the drywall project, I cleaned up fine sawdust in my shop and vacuumed out the wood stove ashes while I was at it. Absolutely no dust escaped the bag and the inside of the vacuum was as clean as the day I received it. I am 100% satisfied and would recommend this product.

I bought this vacuum through Amazon and was disappointed that the vacuum pictured really isn't the one you'll be getting. Well, the vacuum is, but the tool bucket isn't a bucket, and isn't what is shown here. It's a thing with round knobs to shove your tools on, and it isn't very useful. A bucket or tray would be better. Secondly, it only came with two crevice looking tools, not the three smaller ends that this description provides, and it doesn't come with the foam filter as shown. It is a nice vacuum and I'm surprised how quiet it is. The vacuum is a 5 star vacuum, but due to the deceptive description and picture, it gets three stars from me.

This so-called $101 vacuum doesn't come with a battery or a charger. Glad I saw the small print, or I wouldn't know I needed to buy them as well. So that boosted the price well over $200. Then when it arrived, there was no wand! Guess what...over $70 for the wand (not available at Amazon...have to go elsewhere)...or...buy the wet/dry cleaning kit for $223! Misleading? Absolutely. Worth the money? Need to use it longer to see if the battery will hold a charge or die an early death. All in all, if I wanted to spend over $400, I could've bought a Dyson! Unfortunately, I got caught in the cycle of buying more things because the cost of returning everything was too high. Beware!

I have had this for a couple of months now and I love it! This thing has tons of power and everything is self contained within the unit.
It's very well made and they make different versions depending on what batteries you own. I also like the "tool box" look and the stackable design.
This comes with two crevice tools and a sturdy hose. I really like the fact you can use the same filter for both wet or dry vacuuming. The filter is synthetic so it works both ways.
Overall a very well designed vacuum that is also well made.
Recommended.

I was excited to make this purchase and am glad I did. This is so handy and I find myself reaching for it all the time because it is so quick. One of the best things I found out about this unit, is that you can put the hose into two ports, one for suction and another for blowing. I use the blowing feature for cleaning out computers and filters. Works great. Absolutely love it.

If everyone wishes this product had wheels, why don't you just glue some on. The wheels are available in Walmart, Kmart, Home Depot, Lowe's, just about everywhere. Or I guess you could even drill some holes and attach them with screws. It's just plastic you're drilling into. Just bought this product yesterday and haven't used it yet but I figured I could drag it on the floor, it doesn't really need wheels.

The machine was bought to use in a small engine repair shop. It works, with the following annoyances.
1. The User Manual is missing description of how to attach the tool caddy that is to be attached to the vacuum. In fact the tool caddy is not described in the user manual at all.
2. The design of the wall mount is sufficient to get the machine off of the floor. It does not have facilities for all tools (e.g., it is missing a hose hanger {you wrap the hose around the vacuum)).
3. The fit of the tools is sufficient, but not exact. You need to pressure the standard wand to get it to fit.
4. For a supposed 5.5 hp machine, its lifting power does not appear to be any better than 3 hp machines.
I will keep it, it is functional, but I am not pleased with the purchase.

I bought this shop vac because I had a wet basement from flooding in the area I live. It has good suction but not advertised factfully. It states it has a 2 gal. tank but it only sucks up about 2 qts. of liquid. I e-mailed where I purchased it from and was told that when the top was put on it took up much of the capacity. If you need to remove alot of water, I would suggest you buy a very large shop vac.

I chose to go with a shop vac for cleaning my house because I have continuously broken upright vacuums due to sucking crayons, pennies, beads, you name it ( I have three children, two dogs and I run a home daycare) up into them so when my Mother suggested I buy a shop vac I did. It was a great decision. This little vacuum is powerful and really gets the job done at my high traffic house. The wheel assembly for the bottom was easy to install and stays well in place with the four screws that are provided, which is what I was really worried about based on others reviews. There are lots of attachments for cleaning and it is small and light weight. I am very pleased with it.

This vacuum is okay for light duty pickup, I am not impressed with it at all as they usually put out a good product. I was very surprised that amazon is about $30 higher than Wal Mart. This vacuum works great. I find that it works well even as the batteries are going down. It does eat batteries pretty quickly but I'm able to get everything done I need. I also vacuum more often now that I have it. One thing to keep in mind is that is does not come with batteries. It really only makes sense to buy it if you are already invested in Milwaukee tools.

This is definitely the Milwaukee Tool quality that I have come to respect. It has plenty of pick-up power and best of all it works with my 18V Compact Li-ion batteries that came with my drill (It also works on 18V Ni-Cad batteries as well). The battery bay has two different mounts that allow the use of either style Milwaukee 18V battery (however, only one battery can be used at any given time). It has a float inside the pick-up chamber that turns it off if too much water comes in. The hose and cabinet are made from heavy duty material making it great for rugged use. It comes with two small wands one of which is for cracks and crevices and the other for general pick up. These are kept nicely tucked away under the lid in their perspective storage areas. The only thing I wish they would have added is a small brush attachment but that is a minor thing. My wife has already snagged it to use on the carpeted steps because of how easy it is to use. Very pleased indeed!

I do love this vacuum, especially for the price.
But I have a couple of tiny complaints:
1) the nozzle that's supposed to work on upholstery/carpet is too difficult to maneuver on carpeting for the power of the instrument. I also end up sucking up the throw rugs I am trying to vacuum!
2) the vacuum is very bulky (to be expected) but is not easy to pack up and store. The hose is supposed to wrap around the vacuum, I think, but it doesn't really stay in place. Also, the cord has nowhere to be stored. So I have to just lump it all together in one of my larger closets.
All in all, though, good item.

This shop-vac arrived quickly and is exactly as advertised, I find myself using it all the time. The paper filter clogs quickly and needs to be shaken off frequently, especially with fine particles like saw dust. I guess that's to be expected.
I bought this shop vac for $50 here on Amazon, and now see that's they're charging almost $90. It's certainly worth $50, but I wouldn't have bought it for almost twice as much.

This replaced my old Sears Craftsman Shop-Vac which was failing due to old age and my forgetting to always use a filter. The Vacmaster was easy to assemble and has great suction. Large diameter hose. I don't think it uses a bag; at least I didn't see a bag mentioned in the instructions and a bag was not included in the box.

With its relatively low capacity and 4 HP motor there is not much to recommend this machine at nearly 60 dollars. It also lacks a squeegee attachment which most vacs have standard.
To me it looks like it may be made by the same factory that make HD's Rigid line. Considering that those come with a lifetime warranty for the same price or less (I recently saw a 12 gal. 5 HP for 50 dollars) There does not seem to be a good reason to buy this.
Still, I bought it and it works as advertised.

We got this for our basement and also because my husband does a lot of home building projects and this vacuum has worked very well over the years. For the most part -- it has really stood up under the abuse (though the switch quit working shortly after we got it so the only way to turn it on and off is by plugging it in or unplugging it -- or using a power strip with a switch).
This thing has a LOT of power and will suck up virtually everything in its path -- so be sure you don't aim it at anything you DON'T want to have vacuumed up -- like small pets, clothing, etc.
I gave it 4 stars because of the switch malfunction and I would really like to see more attachments for smaller areas -- but that probably isn't totally fair since it really is intended for large spaces and heavy duty jobs. However, since it is down in the basement and garage area -- it would be great if there were attachments that would be a bit more "car friendly" so that you could get into the nooks and crannies of car interiors better.
All in all, I would definitely buy this again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone that was thinking about it. We wind up using it far more than I ever thought we would.

I have had a few Shop Vacs in my little workshp over the last 40 years. I have been adding them, not replacing them. They have proved to be extremely reliable... the oldest one still doing dust collection duty for my table saw. I just had a problem with my "newest" one, a 10 gal unit. I emailed Shop Vac and explained the problem. In about 1 hour they sent me a response and said they will ship a replacement part. They stand behind their products!

Overall this is a good buy. My only complaint is something I have found with other shop vacs as well- the hoses have no locking mechanisms and the attachments come off rather easily. But this machine has a lot of power and I would reccomend it.

This 4HP wet/dry vac is amazing. It has excellent+ pick up power.
It's large but those littler ones would have to be emptied all the time. This is just as advertised. It is no louder than my regular vacuum cleaner.
I could suck up a pretty major spill if I had too with this.
Highly recommend.

It is very powerful, sometimes to powerful. It picks up everything, a plus. Some poor design makes it a pain. Wheels stick out and catch on everything in the shop. Follows like a reluctant cat rather than a happy dog. Hose is too short and bends closed at the nozzle when you vacuum close or at the wrong angle. I had to duct tape it to stop it from bending. Hard to empty without using the bag. Bags are costly and if you pick up something by mistake you need to tear the bag open to find it. The hose is very fat and needs a handle to hold. Not too hard to figure out if you use it. Rockler did it, why not shop vac? Would have been nice if they had an automatic rewind for the cord. Also would have been nice to have a brush pickup. I would have paid more if these items were included.
